This series of images was shot on near
Human-made mechanical equipment hidden in the woods.
These images were exposed using 4” x 5” negative film in a modern
pinhole camera. The negative was exposed and developed to
perfectly capture the fine tonal range of the dune.
The pinhole camera yields certain qualities to the
photographic image: wide angle view, deep depth of focus,
slight edge distortion, natural light fall-off that creates the
vignetting along the borders of the exposure, rich
dynamic tonal range, like that of a platinum print
and the romantic softness, like that of a photogravure.
